Acer palmatum Fireball

£50.00

Fireball is a small witches broom dwarf maple growing to 1.5 meters tall and 1.2 meters wide, extremely hardy and cold tolerant, it is a red maple with odd leaves, the central lobe is shorter and round, whilst other lobes remain pointy. Bright cherry colour when leafing out, turning dark red to maroon later. Some red green tones appear in spring, but the spectacular red autumn tones will illuminate any small and rock garden with a fiery compact ball. Can take full sun, hardier and brighter than Shaina. Discovered by John Verkade in the 1980’s, this bushy red tree will give a punch to any landscape in fall, as a distinctive focal point, with unique charm.
